Abstract
Voltage-mode pulse-train (PT) control for single-inductor dual-output (SIDO) buck converter operating in discontinuous-conduction mode (DCM) is investigated in this paper. By using time-multiplexing (TM) scheme, each output of converter is regulated in its corresponding time slot to avoid cross-regulation of two outputs. “Blank pulse” is adopted to improve the performances of the converter in light load. No error amplifier and its corresponding compensators required by conventional PWM control technique are needed, thus the proposed control method is simple and enjoys fast dynamic response. Experimental results are presented to verify the theoretical analysis.
