  • Abstract
Advanced monitoring tools must have the ability to monitor, diagnose and predict different aspects in order to achieve the overall health management of aero-engine. Electrostatic monitoring technology, as a method for improving the PUM capabilities of aero-engine, is presented in this paper. Firstly, the background, research and development status of electrostatic monitoring technology are introduced in brief Then, the key issues of electrostatic monitoring technology for aero-engine gas path, including basic principle, sensor technology, signal feature extraction and knowledge acquisition model, are proposed. Lastly, the challenges of electrostatic monitoring technology facing under the background of launching the large aircraft program plan in China are listed in the paper.
