Abstract
This paper presents a new technique based on both firewall and load balancing. The aim of the proposed technique is to ensure security in grid computing environment. The security tasks are assigned to firewalls; a load balancer takes into consideration the even distribution of workload between the provided firewalls. Therefore, the security tasks are evenly distributed amongst the firewalls depending on their workload as well as their specifications. On the other hand, this study points out to some of the pervious researches that presented a new structure for the grid computing as an effective solution to handle the security tasks. Moreover, the covered researches are analyzed: their advantages and drawbacks are elicited.
