Abstract
A/D and D/A converters with ever higher performance in terms of conversion rate and dynamic range are required in digital signal processing and communications systems. This paper reviews the architectures and circuit techniques underlying monolithic Nyquist rate CMOS and bipolar data converters, with emphasis on considerations of high-speed, wide dynamic range, and low power dissipation.
