Abstract
One of the toughest tasks of a modern radiolocation is measurement of elevation angle of the targets that lie low above the water [1]. The problem is caused by reflection of target energy off the surface of the sea and occurs when the separation between the target and its image is less than the resolving power of the antenna. The objective of current work is to predict the expected errors of elevation angle measurements of the low-level targets in the environment with strong diffuse reflection and, if it is possible, to find a method for their reduction.
