Supply chain event management in multimodal transportation

Multimodal transportation is one of the important fields in the supply chain management. Multiple parties participate in one shipment transportation. As shipment transportation in supply chains become more dynamic, there is a need for a sense-and-respond capability to react to events in a real-time manner. It is important to create an efficient and visible transportation plan to monitor and manage the supply chain events. In this paper, we use the color Petri net to create the transportation plan in our first-phase study.
