Research on supply chain flexibility measurement

This paper analyzes the current research on measurement of supply chain flexibility firstly. In current research the intricacy of supply chain element is neglected because the framework of system is hypothesized in advance. On basis of these, this paper proposed index system for the measurement of supply chain flexibility integrally from the point of the whole value added system to overcome the limitation of ancient research that only paid attention to specially flexibility. And according to the characteristics of index system, after having compared four patterns measurement of supply chain flexibility, the black box mode is considered to be simple and impersonality as well for not concerning the structure of the supply chain system on contrast to current research paying attention to the structure. Then the application procedure of black box mode has been explained from an example. And in the end the future research direction is discussed.
