Research on forecast method for collector-distributor transport demand of ports based on category feature of cargoes

Collector-distributor transport demand forecast is an essential problem during development of collector-distributor systems of ports. In view of that traditional methods forecasting collector-distributor transport demand of ports only by weight are not realistic, this paper discusses the main factors which affect collector-distributor transport demand forecast of ports, then proposes a new method based on analysis of category feature of cargoes, finally reveals that the new method is reasonable and superior in collector-distributor transport demand forecast of ports through comparison with traditional method.
