Research on the Autonomous Learning System Based on Ontology Model

With the rapid development of network education, a great variety of e-Learning systems have been set up. In the field of educational technology, the autonomous learning model has captured peoplepsilas attention more and more so that the researchers and the designers in E-learning begin to develop e-learning systems for the studentspsila online self-directed learning. The paper firstly discusses the characters of the autonomous learning model and the problems of the recent e-learning systems. For solving the problems to design a web based learning system, we construct an ontology model according to the semantic web thoughts. Then, on the basis of the semantic model, we design an intelligent answer-question system, a smart learning navigation system and a smart self-evaluation system. Moreover, a detailed introduction of the design methods is given. Finally, we implement an e-learning system with some intelligent behaviors for the learners´ autonomous learning, which realizes the students can learn based on their own different demands.
