Abstract
The wireless communication poses additional security threats to the critical information being shared between nodes in a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Therefore there is a dire need of having a secure ways of communication for a WSN. In this paper we present a secure and reliable approach for WSN that uses both the symmetric and public key infrastructure. WSN comprises of resource constrained devices so we kept our approach very simple. It requires very less message exchange for secure key distribution communication. Moreover, very few keys are stored per node. We define a three phased Reliable and Secure Communication scheme for WSNs.
