Abstract
The authors describe how, with the aim of globalization of the engineering curriculum and educational experience, the Global Engineering Education Exchange Program, (Global EEE) was formulated in the USA in 1994. The Program, focusing specifically on undergraduate engineering, offers students one or two semester academic experiences outside of the US at highly reputed international universities, as well as industrial internships. Centrally administered by the Institute of International Education in NYC, the student continues to pay tuition at their home institution, and is assured of full credit transfer for courses taken for which equivalency has been established and approved a priori.
