Abstract
In OFDM systems, time domain equalization (TEQ) can be used to shorten the effective equalized channel therefore a shorter cyclic prefix is able to combat the inter-symbol interference (ISI). This work addresses the problem of delay selection for TEQ in OFDM systems. Three approaches have been proposed in This work to decide the appropriate delay. Compared with the optimum exhaustive search approach, the two proposed approximate approaches have lower computational complexity but similar delay selection results. The performance of the proposed approaches has been presented through computer simulations.
