  • Abstract
The paper presents two high-performance methods used for indirect estimation of the motor shaft position and speed in Brushless AC Sensorless Drives. By using experimental implementation, the authors intend to show the effectiveness and to point out the differences between the following methods: VI-Model based estimator that senses the motor voltage and current and derives the rotor angle and speed; the second estimator is based on Hall Effect sensors and Taylor series expansion.
