Abstract
A relatively stable electroplating bath containing H2PtCl6, FeCl2, NaCl and ammonium-tartrate for the fabrication of L10 FePt magnetic materials is developed. It is found that the change of the annealing temperature from vacuum to H2 brings about the improvement of the L10 FePt properties because of the reduction of Fe-Ox in the as-deposited films. Furthermore, it has been revealed that the embedded FePt materials in the alumina-nanoholes also form the excellent L10 ordered phase.
