Abstract
In this paper, a supplementary anisotropy, induced by elastic stresses, is temporarily introduced and superposed on the shape anisotropy during writing. Consequently, a composite magnetic anisotropy is formed and able to transiently enhance the tilting effect by altering the tilt angle. Furthermore, the transient nature of the magneto-elastic anisotropy may alleviate the intrinsic thermal unstability issue of tilted media.
