Abstract
Cobalt ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical co-precipitation of aqueous iron(III) and cobalt(II) in alkaline medium. Preliminary characterization of the as produced nanoparticles was performed by X-ray measurements. Surface-uncoated and surface-coated nanoparticles were then subjected to photoacoustic spectroscopy and the corresponding spectra was analyzed.
