  • Abstract
    This research proposes a sensorless detection method of a free-falling condition of a HDD before unexpected shock by monitoring the electromechanical signals of a HDD spindle motor. The electromechanically coupled simulation presents the theoretical background and the simulation result is verified by the experiment.
