  • Abstract
Currently, the rapid escalation of the Internet has made the issue of protecting copyrights of digital contents very much important. The Digital Rights Management (DRM) system protects the high-value digital assets and controls the distribution and usage of those digital assets. The protection of copyrights of digital images is assured by the watermarking technologies. Digital watermarking guards the copyrights of digital images by hiding the secret or personal information in them. In this paper, we have proposed a robust and blind watermarking scheme for protecting the copyrights of digital images. The proposed watermarking scheme protects the copyrights of the image by invisibly embedding a binary watermark image into the host image. The proposed scheme embeds binary watermark pixels into host image pixels to construct the watermarked image. As the proposed watermarking scheme is blind, we do not require the original image or any of its characteristics for watermark extraction. The robustness of the proposed watermarking scheme has been demonstrated through the attacks presented in the experimental results.
