Abstract
In this paper, results of multiscale simulations of the switching processes in soft-hard magnetic bilayers FePt/FeRh and FePt/Fe3Pt were presented. The multiscale model consisted of an atomistic model at the interface and a micromagnetic model sufficiently far from the interface region. Results of the switching field show a decrease of the coercive field that saturates at interfacial exchange values of 10% of the bulk exchange.
