  • Abstract
    In high density perpendicular recording the reduction techniques of the inter-track interference is important. In this paper, we investigate a new CITI code based on the equalized level of class-1 partial response (PR1), which is the simplest PR system whose polynomial is represented by only positive coefficients. The constructive inter-track interference code for the PR1 equalization in perpendicular recording was discussed. The results show that the proposed system exhibits better BER performance than the conventional one.
