Abstract
Traffic congestion is one of the biggest problems of the XXI century. The researchers from all around the world have tried to solve this problem proposing a number of algorithms. This paper proposes to model the traffic flow using a Bond Graph approach. Vehicle density and velocity are used as independent variables. Computational Fluid Dynamics was used intensively in mechanical engineering. In this paper we show that this approach can be used also in traffic flow model and we present some comparison with existing methods in order to validate our model.
