  • Abstract
    The magnetocaloric properties of La1-xPbxMnO3 (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) samples prepared by conventional solid-state reaction were investigated in this study. The samples showed a single-phase perovskite structure analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The isothermal magnetization measurements was used to measure the change in magnetic entropy. The adiabatic temperature change was also measured in a special cryostat. The maximum value of entropy change was observed for the La0.8Pb0.2MnO3 sample while the adiabatic temperature change reaches a maximum value of about 1 K for La0.7Pb0.3MnO3 sample at 349 K upon applied magnetic field of 2 T.
