Abstract
A CPW-fed multi-band monopole antenna with two L-shaped stub and a U-shaped slot is presented. The proposed antenna was printed on 26×21×1.6mm3 polytetrafluoroethylene with relative dielectric constant 4.4.To meet the requirement of wireless area network and the WiMAX, reduce the interference of un-required signal, a U-shaped slot is inserted in the signal-strip. The higher frequency band is obtained by embedding two L-shaped stubs in the radiation patch. The resonance frequencies can be controlled by adjusting the length of the responding slot and the dimensions of the stub. The proposed antenna can meet the demand of WLAN, WiMAX, and higher band of C-band communications. The key parameters are simulated, analyzed and optimized using High Frequency structure Simulator. The results show that the preference of the proposed antenna can be greatly improved compared to traditional microstrip patch antennas.
