Abstract
A new type of antenna, called 45° linearly polarized grid array antenna, is proposed for 24-GHz automotive radar sensors. Two such antennas are designed and fabricated on RT/duriod 5880 substrate for single-ended and differential signal operations, respectively. The single-ended antenna exhibits 6.8% impedance bandwidth and 14-dBi gain and the differential antenna displays 5.9% impedance bandwidth and 13.5-dBi gain at 24.15 GHz.
