Abstract
A quality control model (QCM) of a flash furnace based on the Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) fuzzy method is presented in the paper. The structure identification of the human control action and parameter adjustment of the model are also discussed; two different adaptive human control action models for the furnace are suggested. One is static and the another is dynamic. The performance of the dynamic human simulating fuzzy quality control model has been tested in the flash smelting furnace for two months. The production runs successfully
