  • Abstract
    Change of waterhammer and surge with time is considered as a stochastic process. Then the purpose, present status and progress of stochastic analysis of waterhammer and surge in pumped storage plant are summarized. Stochastic analysis methods are introduced, including modeling and solving. Finally, some suggestions are presented for stochastic analysis.
