Abstract
Summary form only given. Low-threshold characteristics and broad tunability were demonstrated simultaneously in a compact Ti:sapphire laser. The threshold of this laser is low enough for all-solid-state conventional green sources. Moreover, its size, smaller than a notebook, and simpler configuration without any sacrifice of tunability will be attractive for new applications of tunable lasers.
