Abstract
Summary form only given. The experimental data presented in this paper demonstrate the potential of the Nd:YVO/sub 4/ thin disk laser to achieve a pulse energy in the mJ range with a diffraction-limited beam and high pulse repetition rates. Such a laser source is interesting for micromaterials processing applications.
