  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. We demonstrate here a new integration scheme applied to a 2/spl times/2 semiconductor optical amplifier gate based switching matrix. For the first time, single-heterostructure (SH) rib waveguides are integrated with buried laser-amplifiers.
