  • Abstract
Summary form only given. In this presentation we analyze nonlinearity limits for ultrashort pulses in dispersion-compensated fiber links with large pulse stretching and compression factors. In particular we perform numerical simulations to determine the input intensity levels at which self-phase modulation (SPM) disturbs the delicate balance between dispersive pulse stretching and recompression.
