Abstract
Summary form only given. We have demonstrated efficient cw DFWM in a Nd:YVO/sub 4/ amplifier. The use of long pulses provides an interesting link between the short pulse and the cw regimes. Transient peak reflectivities have been clearly shown at high intensities. Nd:YVO/sub 4/ combined with a high-power cw diode pumping could perform (as demonstrated in the pulsed regime) compact, efficient and all-solid-state cw phase conjugators for the near-IR.
