  • Abstract
Under the US Army Defense Standardization and Specifications Program (DSSP) a number of shielding effectiveness experiments were performed on a transportable equipment shelter. Shielding effectiveness measurements were performed on the shelter utilizing MIL-STD-285, MIL-STD-907b, and the fixed facility requirements of MIL-STD-188-125 procedures. This was performed as a part of a hardness maintenance/hardness surveillance (HM/HS) study. Special attention was paid to shield penetrations, such as, doors, panels and power-data entry vaults. The difference in requirements and results were evaluated in an attempt to resolve such issues as test frequency selection, number of measurement locations, and test probe equipment
