Abstract
Summary form only given. We have investigated carrier spin dynamics in CdTe-CdMnTe quantum wells at 6 K by means of the femtosecond time-resolved pump-probe experiment and have observed the spin-relaxation of electrons separately from that of holes. The present pump-probe method has the unconventional configuration in the absorption saturation measured from unoccupied light hole (lh) state and occupied heavy hole (hh) state simultaneously, and pumping and probing one spin state selectively by circular polarized femtosecond pulses.
