Abstract
Summary form only given. We report here calculations on squeezing capabilities resulting from cascading in a quasi phase matched (QPM) interaction in quadratic lossless nonlinear media in particular in the SHG configuration. A mismatched QPM interaction is considered to optimize the cascading effect. We illustrate the concepts by numerical calculations of the squeezing in two realistic and important cases.
