Abstract
As wireless applications continue to expand rapidly, there is an increasing awareness of the strategic importance of advanced high-frequency design technology. This is driven by more stringent system specifications and the growing criticality of time-to-market. This paper overviews some of the general issues involved, concentrating at a technical level on device modeling and simulator technology. The future evolution of the CAD industry is also considered briefly
