Abstract
A smart sensor interface requires a look-up table to provide the direct digital representation of a measurand. To make the table with a required resolution over a full span based on a few calibration data, thereby to facilitate the calibration procedure, a cubic spline function is used. To demonstrate its validity, the spline technique is applied to a thermal environment monitor which measures indoor temperature, airflow rate, and relative humidity
