Abstract
Prospects of creation of components on new type fibers - photonic crystal fibers, possible areas of their application are considered. Comparative analysis PCF and standard quartz fibers is lead. Advantages and lacks of use PCF in electronic technique are allocated. The signal attenuation caused by a difference of connected fibers modes fields was estimated.
