  • Abstract
    The propagation aspects of a creepage discharge on the surface of a solid insulator in insulating liquids have been observed in detail, mainly under a parallel plane electrode geometry with a protruding point, by using a high speed schlieren optical system and an LED current measurement system. As a result, the influence of the arrangement of barrier insulator and various sorts of insulating liquids on the propagation of the creepage discharge, is investigated
