  • Abstract
In this paper, broadband and circular polarization techniques of Microstrip antenna (MSA) are studied. Microstrip antennas are suitable candidate for modern wireless communication. It possesses the advantages such as light weight, low cost and easy to fabricate, but they are inherence of bandwidth due to resonant nature. Several researchers attempted to overcome the above limitation. Also, MSA radiates naturally linearly polarized waves. Modern wireless communication requires circular polarization and wide bandwidth. In this context, several literature papers are available. The objective of the paper is to comprehensively study popular circular polarization and broadband techniques in MSA and sharing the knowledge to the new researchers in this field. Also, a design example is illustrated for broadband circularly polarized microstrip antenna.
