Abstract
In this paper, a multi-agent simulation model of urban traffic behavior using origin-destination data is constructed. Traveler agents decide selection of mobility and route by optimizing their utility functions. There are too many search candidates in their decisions to calculate in practical time, thus mathematical optimization techniques are applied in modeling. Part of route search algorithms of agents are standardized to used jointly by all agents and the other is built as parallelizable structure to simulate several hundred thousand agents in practical time. It is showed that the simulation example which has 18,000 agents is calculated in practical time. Besides, simulations of two scenarios in which a part of traffic networks differ each other demonstrated some potential of the proposed model.
