  • Abstract
    The concepts and design of a wavelength label switched (WLS) network is presented. A field trial on an existing four-node fiber network in the Stockholm area is described. The nodes include optical cross-connects used to interconnect high-speed IP routers with reconfigurable wavelength channels.
