Abstract
In this study, we tested humidity s effect on the conductivity of transparent polyaniline thin films over a period of time. After creating three environments of different humidity levels (high, medium, and low) for storing our polyaniline thin film samples, we used a multimeter to measure the electrical resistance and observed the changes in electrical resistance of the samples over time. We discovered that the electrical resistance of the three samples all increased over time, with the electrical resistance of those in high and medium humidity environments increasing at a significantly greater rate than the electrical resistance of the sample in the low humidity environment. The results suggest that an environment with less water vapor could better preserve the conductivity of polyaniline thin films.
