Abstract
This paper describes frequency characteristic design method of torque control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) based on model predictive control (MPC). MPC controller selects directly one of the voltage vector of three-phase inverter by estimating and evaluating future states (torque, current) of PMSM instead of generating voltage reference as conventional one. The sequence of selected voltage vectors makes inverter output voltage appropriate on the transient state in addition to on the steady state. As a result, this system obtains fast current response. However, torque control system controlled by MPC become nonlinear and frequency transfer function of the system can not be induced. Therefore it makes hard to design in cooperation with conventional linear systems. In this paper, we revealed frequency characteristic of MPC torque control system, and proposed designing method of frequency characteristic.
