Abstract
This paper describes and investigates a duplex communication system using a single radio carrier; receiving, and then alternatively transmitting on the same frequency. The concept of single-frequency duplex system is introduced, and the demonstration of this concept has been achieved by implementation. This technique is recommended as an alternative form for point-to-point communication systems. The paper suggests using a simple low cost system, to communicate between one place to another, on single frequency duplex, using narrow band FM techniques. Digital techniques offer the possibility of achieving full duplex operation on single-frequency channel for personal communication networks
