Abstract
A flexible planar array antenna using conductive non-woven fiber fabrics supported by an inflatable torus has been studied as a satellite antenna. In this paper, to determine the effect of surface deformation of the antenna membrane experimentally, a test article is introduced and examined. The relationships between the deformed antenna membranes and their radiation patterns are also examined analytically.
