Abstract
This paper investigates the existence of singularity induced bifurcations along with corresponding singular sets of operating points in power systems. The power system is modeled as a set of parameter dependent differential-algebraic equations (DAE´s). We propose a method to identify algebraic singularity of the model and investigate the effects of the singularity on the dynamic stability of the system. Simulation results on singular points are presented using voltage stability toolbox (VST)
