  • Abstract
    It is very useful and necessary to apply monitoring technology in electrical power system especially the transmission lines. The monitoring method of transmission line based on video technique, which is introduced in this paper, can calculate the thickness of the ice covering on the transmission line, recognize the galloping line, and give an alarm if necessary. The method principle and the technical features are described, and the calculation of ice and recognition progress of galloping line are introduced in detail. The result shows well.
