Abstract
Endoscopic intervention, as a form of minimally invasive surgeries, reduces the post-operative stress for patients. There is constant research and developments to develop methodologies that both lessens the discomfort of patients, as well as reduces the difficulties of operational procedures for surgeons. This article explores the possibility of fabricating a novel “soft” structure endoscopic robot with combination of different actuation methods. The goal is to create a working system with simple manufacturing processes, with predictable movement that allows for easy control.
