On the Development of Shipbuilding Logistics in Shanghai

Shanghai is the economic center in China and the shipbuilding base which being built in Changxing Island will rank in the top-level base in the future. But productivity of Shanghai shipbuilding is lower than that of advanced shipbuilding countries, which has been the bottleneck of Shanghai shipbuilding development. We believe that enhancing the development level of shipbuilding logistic industry is key to solve this problem. Nowadays research in logistics or shipbuilding is very popular, but little attention has been attracted to shipbuilding logistic. This paper will discuss the development of shipbuilding logistic under the view of industry amalgamation. And found that the problems of the development of Shanghai shipbuilding logistic problems are in four aspects. The problem of who to be the shipbuilding logistic organizer is the most important one among those problems. Then the paper puts forward a conceive to build a shipbuilding logistic base in Changxing Island and gives some suggestion about this conceive.
