Abstract
This paper considers sparse feedback gains design of distributed systems. We design the sparse pattern of feedback gains by incorporating sparsity-promoting penalty functions into the infinite horizon quadratic optimal control problem. The added penalty functions approximates the counting of the communicating links. We reformulate this combination optimization problem as a sequence of weighted l2 problems, then formulate semidefinite programme and therefore its solution can be computed efficiently.
